Eliana Thompson

Eliana Thompson was born on May 13, 2004.  She trains at Capital City Flips in Lansing, Michigan.  She will graduate from Eaton Rapids High School Class of  2022.  Eliana started gymnastics in 2012 in the recreational program at Twistars.  Eliana began competing level 4 during the 2013 season.  Eliana started the 2016 season as a level 7.  She won the all-around at two invitationals.  She then moved up to level 8 where she won the all-around at three invitationals.  She placed 3rd on beam and 4th AA at the State Championships. She concluded her season at Regionals.  Eliana started the 2017 season as a level 8. She placed in the top three at four invitationals.  She then moved up to level 9 where she won the all-around at the Midwest Showdown.  She won vault and floor at the State Championships she also placed 2nd AA.  She won beam and the all-around at Regionals.  At Eastern Nationals, she finished 4th on bars, 6th on beam and 3rd AA.  Eliana did not compete most of the 2018 season but she placed 1st on vault and 8th all-around at Regionals and Qualified to Eastern Nationals as the 1st Alternate.  In 2019, Eliana finished 3rd on floor and 4th on vault at the State Championships.  She won the all-around title at Regionals. She placed 4th on bars, 3rd on beam, 2nd on floor and 3rd AA at Eastern Nationals.  Unfortunately, the 2020 season ended abruptly due Covid 19 and she was unable to finish the season out as a Level 10.  Coming off from a long Covid season 2021 came with a little struggle at first, but Eliana was able to get stronger and finish the season at Regionals placing 4th on Beam (9.500) and 7th on Vault (9.475).  When Eliana is not training 23 hours per week at the gym, she enjoys camping, snowmobiling, folklorico dancing and hanging out with her friends.
